The Elafiti islands are Dubrovnik's closest neighbours — three small islands, all car-free, each completely different in character. Most visitors see them from the ferry, which is a shared service that docks at specific times and moves to a fixed schedule. A private boat is a different thing entirely.

You leave from Gruž harbour by private car, board your boat, and the day belongs to you. Koločep first — the smallest and quietest, with pine-scented paths and coves so clear you can see the bottom from ten metres. Then Lopud and the walk across the island to Šunj, a sandy beach that is genuinely unusual on this otherwise rocky coastline. Šipan last — the largest and most lived-in, with a 15th century duke's palace, old vineyards, and a harbour where you can eat lunch in the shade.

The swimming is exceptional throughout. Snorkelling equipment is on board. The skipper knows where the fish are and where the water is coldest on a hot August afternoon.

Boat capacity and pricing varies depending on the vessel — we work with several boats to accommodate different group sizes. Contact us with your dates and group size and we will match you with the right option.

Questions about this tour

How many people can the boat take?+

We work with boats of different sizes. Small speedboats take 4–8 passengers comfortably; larger vessels can accommodate 10–12. Pricing varies accordingly — contact us with your group size for an exact quote.

Can we visit only some of the islands?+

Yes. If you want to focus on one or two islands and spend more time swimming, we can adjust the itinerary. Just tell us your preference when you book.

What is the weather like for the boat tour?+

The tour runs from April to October. July and August offer the calmest seas and warmest water. May, June and September are often quieter and still beautiful. We monitor conditions and will advise if anything needs to change.

Is lunch included?+

Lunch is not included but most guests prefer to eat at a restaurant on Šipan or Lopud. The skipper can recommend and, if you want, call ahead to reserve a table.
